* 1880 - Josef Breuer first begins experimenting with the reversal of authoritarian hypnosis into "listening therapy" for his patient Bertha Pappenheim, who began recovering from psychosomatic "hysteria" symptoms

* 1895 - Josef Breuer and his student Sigmund Freud collaborate on a book "Studies in Hysteria" documenting Breuer's work that Breuer would call "the cathartic method."

* 1907 - in a private letter Josef Breuer separates from Freud's growing obsession with sexual issues as the basis of neuroses, saying "Freud is a man given to absolute and excessive formulations: this is a psychical need which, in my opinion, leads to excessive generalization."

* 1909 - Sigmund Freud credits Breuer with discovering a method (which became Dianetics) during his lectures at an American University, "Five Lectures on Psycho-Analysis" stating, "I was a student and working for my final examinations at the time when... Breuer, first (in 1880-1882) made use of this procedure... Never before had anyone removed a hysterical symptom by such a method."

* 1917 - Arthur Frederick Hurst uses his military rank (Major) and status to receive patients away from the brutal treatment of the military psychiatrists, who were employing electric shock and other punishing treatments, and proceeds to prescribe non-violent therapy which was set up by suggesting to the patient he would be able to help himself, and proceeded to use talk therapies and drama to help the patients relive and get through the traumatic past they were stuck in

* 1923 - 12-year-old L. Ron Hubbard - child of a Navy Captain and almost certainly being groomed as a gifted child for an intelligence future - embarks on a voyage through the Panama canal from San Francisco to New York, that brings him into close contact with Commander Joseph "Snake" Thompson - Naval intelligence agent and direct student of Sigmund Freud working on behalf of the U.S. Navy in the beginnings of its research into the mind

* 1930 - young L. Ron Hubbard's subsequent encounter with Commander Joseph "Snake" Thompson, who had been mentoring the youngster in his knowledge of Sigmund Freud's understanding of the mind

* 1932 - near year's end, L. Ron Hubbard is found missing from classes at George Washington University, and one of his professors goes out to find him and finally does so, seeing Ron lying in a straight jacket in a padded cell in St. Elizabeth hospital (story told by whistleblower who knew this schoolteacher - to Arnie Lerma, who relayed it to me and also relayed it to Peter Moon who recorded it in the first chapter of his book, "The Tao of Insanity")

* 1933 (-1934 - or 1936?) - according to Douglas Deitrich, a former Army Intelligence clerk, working under Temple of Set founder Michael Aquino who was an Army Intelligence Colonel, he shredded Naval Intelligence documents at the Presido base in San Francisco that he read before destruction that he says convinced him that Aleister Crowley had personally mentored L. Ron Hubbard for a future intelligence role (both men ultimately conducted intelligence operations under cover of crazy cult religious leadership) - later on December 1, 1952 in Philadelphia at the opening lecture of his "Philadelphia Doctorate Course" - Hubbard referred to Crowley as "my good friend" - encouraging his followers to read at least one of Crowley's works ("The Book of the Law" - 1936) named there in the same lecture - in a survey of available biographical information, 1933 seems the most likely year Hubbard could have slipped off to England "for training" after having immersed himself in Crowleys works from the young age of 16 (according to his son L. Ron Hubbard, Jr. or "Ronald DeWolfe") - perhaps now eager and willing to meet, which may have been arranged by the above-mentioned Joseph Thompson who introduced LRH to Crowley's works - this also explains Ronald DeWolfe's reference to his dad having bragged to him that he had training from the same occultist that had taught Adolph Hitler (not that Crowley ever interacted with Hitler - but was indeed involved in occult circles in Germany that eventually involved those who did) - this also explains Hubbard's enthusiastic support of his British intelligence masters who had granted him such an insider privilege he must have hardly been able to keep secret (except later to his son) - (a second possibility for Hubbard meeting personally with Crowley might not have been so likely - given that Crowley was deteriorating and embroiled in legal conflicts - but on second thought would also serve as a great cover story - while L. Ron Hubbard was at that time spending most of his time in New York, despite his wife and two children living in Washington state - and also by 1936 Jack Parsons was financially contributing to Aleister Crowley - and also direct interaction during this time period might also support the theory that Hubbard was the one Crowley referred in his correspondence as "Frater H")

WHAT STRUCK ME IN DEVELOPING THIS TIME-LINE AFTER YEARS OF RESEARCH IS THAT, FOLKS, THEY ARE NOT HIDING ALL THIS INTRIGUE FROM NAZI GERMANY OR SOVIET RUSSIA OR ANY OTHER FOREIGN COUNTRY - THEY ARE HIDING THESE SECRETS (L. Ron Hubbard's CIA File remains entirely classified and closed to FOIA requests) FROM YOU AND ME.  DIANETICS TRAUMA THERAPY IS DESTINED TO BE SEQUESTERED IN A CULT, PRACTICALLY FORBIDDEN TO MEDICAL OR GENERAL USE.

* 1934-1940 - L. Ron Hubbard works as a Science Fiction writer under Joseph Campbell and with another Naval Intelligence officer, Robert Heinlein, after which he formally enrolls in Naval Intelligence reserves in preparation for World War II, during which Hubbard earns a medal for service in the North Atlantic theater of the war, which, if not in service of the U.S. Navy (which recorded no such service) places him once again in England from which allied forces would have launched

* 1941-1950 - L. Ron Hubbard is a Naval Reserves intelligence officer, and upon resigning, may well have been reassigned elsewhere, as he had the clearances to continue working indefinitely

* 1947 - St. Elizabeth Hospital - according to an insider-whistleblower who approached Arnie Lerma, a manuscript that closely resembled material that later appeared in the Dianetics book was being circulated to doctors at St. Elizabeth mental hospital, a high-security government institution where L. Ron Hubbard was being allowed to intern under its head psychiatrist George M. White - by one William Sargant, a Tavistock psychiatrist visiting from England who later incorporated some of this knowledge in his own book, "Battle for the Mind" (subtitled "A Physiology of Conversion and Brainwashing") - published in 1957.  (William Sargant practiced the brutal and barbaric methods of electroshock and psychosurgery and was not much of a talk therapist, but more likely a courier - apart from his role as consultant to MI5 - sent over by Tavistock to deliver to American counterparts their version of proven talk therapy methods used in World Wars I and II.)

* 1947-1948 L. Ron Hubbard, traveling with his second wife Sara Northrup, continues his internships at Chestnut Lodge, St. Elizabeth's psychiatric hospital, and working in Savannah Georgia as a "volunteer" at a psychiatric center there

* 1948 - the release of L. Ron Hubbard's first summary write-up of Dianetics in a photocopied manuscript that came to be entitled, "Dianetics: The Original Thesis"
